It is summer, it is the solstice
the crowd is cheering, the crowd is laughing
in detail permanently, seriously
without thought.

— William Carlos Williams

Summer is upon us on the shoreline, with its sailboats, flip flops and sunscreen. As well as the air conditioners, bug sprays, and calamine lotion applications. It is our hope at the Women & Family Life Center that you follow Williams' sentiment above and spend much of the summer seriously laughing, without thought.

We are pleased to welcome two new staff members: Leslie Krumholz, Program Director, and Pamela Ryder, Program Administrator. Both Guilford residents with families of their own, they seek to expand and promote the W&FLC programming mission deeper into the surrounding communities.  Keep an eye out on our website and at the W&FLC for a hint of what these two are up to.  You can contact Leslie with any program, workshop, lecture, or event ideas for the center, and contact Pamela with room rental requests, scheduling and programming inquiries, or if you are an artist seeking to use our ArtSpace.

Please feel free to stop by and introduce yourselves!

Most sincerely,

Liza Janssen Petra
Executive Director

The Women & Family Life Center (WFLC) serves women and their families who have either been dealt a devastating blow or merely want to improve the quality of their life. WFLC operates on a simple concept: it is a place for individuals on the shoreline to access support, education, information, and referrals.
